Enter the Ide. See you on the other side.

Ancient Roman calendars, modeled after the lunar cycle, called the middle of the month “The Ides”. This ideation from old to new marks the midway threshold of the planetary passages.

In Sonoma lore, Wiliam B. Ide presided over the rebellious “California Republic”, an independent nation that, in the summer of 1846, existed for 25 days in between Mexican and American governance of the region. This quixotic moment in time was California’s Ide.
