WINEMAKING
The Napa Valley Cab growing season benefits from abundant early season rains and excellent spring and summer weather. The 2023 vintage in Napa Valley was exceptional, with consistent mild weather, above-average crop yields, and extended hang time. Abundant autumn/winter rains alleviated the drought, resulting in a smaller but top-quality 2021 crop, and the 2022 budbreak was early for most Bordeaux varieties.
TASTING NOTE
Aromas of Blackberry. blueberry and fig are underlined by flavors of concentrated, jammy black fruit, cassis, warm spice character, dried herb and toasted oak. This wine is full-bodied with plush tannins for a lasting finish

WINEMAKING
The Alexander Valley vines enjoyed a warm spring, and early summer. Relatively mild summer temperatures allowed the grapes to mature evenly. Harvest began right on time, in early September, concluding in late October. The long hang time allowed the fruit to develop rich flavors while maintaining balanced acidity.
TASTING NOTE
A Classic Alexander Valley wine with medium body, bright berry flavors and smooth, structured tannins. Complex and food-loving with notes of black current, brambleberry, rich mocha and earthy tobacco that segue to flavors of red cherry, ripe fig and a hint of dried lavender. The palate is well structured and silky, with a persistent finish.
